The north of Thailand is home to some of the country’s most breathtaking natural wonders. Before reaching the hilltop village of Ban Jabo and receiving the warmest of welcomes, travellers will trek up into the mountains to meet Thailand’s remote hilltribe communities, depart from magnificent Chiang Mai and travel through a national park to Lahu and Karen villages, spend time with a shaman, explore deep caves by bamboo raft, and take in the lush jungle scenery.

1. Sunsets will never be the same again

gili-trawangan

The Gili Islands, just a speedboat away from Bali have some of the most incredible sunsets and are surrounded by white sand, palm-lined beaches, and crystal-clear waters. Seriously, those Bali sunsets are so arrogant that they make everyone else look bad and inferior.

2. Be amazed by rice terraces

Ubud

Ubud is Bali’s cultural and traditional heart, where Balinese traditions and culture are strongly preserved. Explore a world of yoga retreats, cooking classes, temples, mountain ranges, and rice terraces. You’ll be astounded when you see those rice terraces!

4. It’s likely that your breath will be taken away

Ulun Danu

If you haven’t been to Bali yet, believe us when we say it’s nothing short of spectacular. The 50,000 Rp note depicts the magnificent Pura Ulun Danu Bratan water temple. It is a significant Hindu-Buddhist temple founded in the 17th century that has become a well-known symbol of Bali. Be aware that if you want to avoid crowds, you should pedal out onto the water. Oh, and be prepared to have your breath taken away; frequent gasping is likely.

5. Experience extreme amounts of relaxation

Komune Beach Club

There is absolutely nothing worse than feeling relaxed, and it is just so soothing. Cocktails, delicious live music, and fresh seafood are available at Komune Beach Club to help you unwind. Even the backdrop features the well-known Keramas surf break. But who in any case enjoys unwinding and seeing the ocean? So 2016.

6. The nightlife

Potato Head Beach Club

If you enjoy having fun, go to Potato Head Beach Club. Is it still possible to “have fun”? These guys know how to party—Rudimental headlined their 2-day epic NYE music festival few years back. The amphitheatre-style building, ocean views, and enormous infinity pool make it the ideal location for live music! Mark Ronson, Foster the People, Fat Boy Slim, and the Ultra Beach Bali EDM festival have all performed at Potato Head in the past. But in all honesty, it all seems a little too enjoyable.

7. There’s frankly too much deliciousness

3Three Cafe Bali

3Three Cafe Bali serves fantastic coffee, incredibly fresh smoothies, delicious food, and excellent service. In this relaxed atmosphere healthy cafe in the heart of Seminyak, old-school music is playing to get you on the Bloody Marys at brunch. The eggs on fire and the acai smoothie are both delicious if you like delicious things.
